Davenport Homestead Heritage Day
History lives through exhibits and demonstrations of old time ways. The restored 1770's homestead features the simple wood frame home of Washington County's first senator, Daniel Davenport, along with outbuildings that include the Loom House, Salt House, Corn Crib, Smoke House and, of course, the outhouse. You'll find many anitigue farm and home implements on display. The house features an upstairs loft, a brick fireplace, rope beds, household artifacts, and more. Old time food and crafts will sold and entertainment tops of the day! Bring the family and show the kids what life was like before iPods and xboxes!
