History lives through
exhibits and demonstrations of old time ways. The restored 1770's
homestead features the simple wood frame home of Washington County's
first senator, Daniel Davenport, along with outbuildings that
include the Loom House, Salt House, Corn Crib, Smoke House and, of
course, the outhouse.
You'll find many antique farm and home
implements on display. The house features an upstairs loft, a brick
fireplace, rope beds, household artifacts, and more. Old time food
and crafts are sold and entertainment tops the day!
Bring the
family and show the kids what life was like before iPods and XBoxes!
